Oh my goodness! Just one day... was hoping you could have just one nice day. The turkey will be okay to cook tomorrow. Mine is pretty well thawed and we put them in the fridge at the same time. You can rinse it in cold water to get the ice off (and the blood off!) before it goes in the oven.What a day. Wish I could say its over . drs early pain meds. increase . I asked reception if she wants a urine sample she says yes. So Im holding it. I go back and she said I have lots of congestion. see me next month. I said, dont you want urine ? She said no. I said, Oh your checking my urine and I want it checked for infection. Been holding it all this time . No infection but dehydrated. Get home and float the eggs. For some odd reason I decided to toss all that didnt sink on their side. 5 dozen tossed later I still have 2 dozen. What was I thinking ? It took forever to peal them stupid things for deviled eggs . Thought I would get the turkey ready for baking . It was STILL froze. after prying the liver out of the neck I cut myself on the turkey !Blood everywhere. peeps , they had cut the tail off and shoved it up the neck cavity. Yup, cut my hand on a turkey ass.
On to pumpkin pie . frozen , preheat the oven , take it out the box, wait, what ? Half a pie? In a whole pie shell. Was on hold for a solid 14 mins. just to be told toss it , we will send you a coupon. OH Lucky day ! A whole coupon just for me ? What about the whipped cream that will go to waste or the gas it took me to go get it or my guests that will be pumpkinless ? what ? You want my phone # ? LOL go bite a watermelon (only thats not what I said) Kinda think I shouldnt hold my breath for that coupon . Then theres Tom. Dear sweet Tom. can you make me a sandwich? He said, I dont want one. I didnt ask if you want one, I asked if you will make me one. He said, I dont know how to. I was almost done with the eggs and I hear him crunching. I havent ate all day. Matter of fact woke up sick to my stomach and couldnt even tolerate coffee this am. He walks in the torture chamber and reaches for an egg. I said over my dead body ! He asks , can you put my shelf together ? I smiled sweetly and said, I dont need a shelf. He said, no, can you put my shelf together. (he is kinda slow) I said, I dont know how. He asked, what kind of sandwich do you want ? Started putting shelf together and boy was it a pita. ended up drilling new holes in it to get screws to line up. LOL He said, You did a good job I done care what anyone said. Well no one said anything but you. He said glad this day is over .Must be nice. soon as my back stops screaming I still have tons of chores to do.

How does that happen? Best thing about Thanksgiving is you can have it any day. Doesn't require a turkey or anything special, really, just a grateful heart and someone to share it with. Once a year isn't often enough!Well, I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving. The girls and I decided to put one together but not until the weekend when everyone's schedule can come together.
