Im sorry your dad was hard to be around. You are actually lucky I think. At least he didnt stand in front of you drunk and naked french kissing his boy toy. Or a step father that wanted to stare at your naked body every chance he got. Or beat you til the blood ran down your legs . Did he ?

nope nothing that quite that bad And he was "great" with the others for the most part. Just he and I never got along. And verbal and emotional abuse can leave scars as well.

verbal is worse . There wasnt a day went by that mom and step didnt argue and fight and they wanted me right in the middle of it all. One day when they were arguing I went to the couch. Mom sits next to me and he comes and sits on the other side. sticking his finger in her face reaching across from me. I get , go to my room and she comes in then he does. I got up went in the kitchen and grabbed a butcher knife . I went after him and he run then hid behind mom saying tell her to put the knife down Lola , I said move mom, Im gonna gut him. Mom said, put the knife down Pam. so I did.

Well I need to start some laundry and empty to ovens of all the pots, pans and roasters and then empty the dishwasher.
