Granny's gone and done it again

He is going to call us the night before. It is really jammed in there. I am sleeping with my door open tonight so if it gets smoky i will smell it.

Wonder if it’s a dead animal? I know someone who had a raccoon in theirs. It was far up in there and they couldn’t smell it but it was blocking the smoke.

I doubt an animal could get in there. The roof is very steep and slippery plus there is a cap on top with slats for the smoke to escape.

Bats, coons and squirrels are the most common house guests here. Along with the occasional opossum.

I am waiting for my pills to kick in.
Hubby shot a squirrel today, but we have had less scampering since they closed in the one soffit. Now if they would do the other three that would be great!

Oh it didn’t come from outside, it was on its way out or so it thought.

Well we are not leaving outside doors open any more and the door to the woodstove is shut unless we are loading it or cleaning it out.

Crab apples, the scampering started again! Sigh, how am i going to sleep through that?

Chimney sweeps built a nest in ours once. Coffee & beef stew for lunch is done.
