How come if you eat 16 lbs of butter you gain way more than 16 lbs? It's NOT FAIR!

Because of all the stuff that goes with the butter... bread, potatoes, cookie ingredients...
Otherwise it's pretty close to being even. But who wants to eat plain butter?
