Roberts worker, a woman my age or a little younger comes and I tell her what is needed from the store. I have the money on the table. I asked Robert what does he need to do to get ready and he answers shoes , wallet, coat. I said ok, go get ready. He does. I said theres the money on the table and he answers ya, I know. She speaks up and says to him, Hey ! Theres no reason to be rude. silence . Robert looks at me and I look at him. Then she said, I think that was a hint for you to put it in your wallet. are you going to put it in your wallet? Robert said No. Are you going to put it in your pocket ? Yes.
Autistic people , Robert for sure dont understand hints. I wasnt hinting at anything. I knew he would pick it up and put it in his pocket so it dont get mixed up with his money.
Poor Robert.

this sounds horrible and I shouldnt of said it. It dont sound anything like I meant. I am sorry you lost the chicks Camping. I truly am. I just didnt think that one had a chance to survive no matter what was done and glad it wasnt suffering.

Tom knew I was making grilled cheese as soon as they left then I needed to go water so what does he do? Jumps in the shower. I should of went ahead and cooked and let him eat cold food.

How I have woke Robert up for the past 15 odd yrs,EYES ARE SHINING ! I used to say rise and shine but he couldnt so he would say eyes are shining and it stuck. I also still remember exactly how he sang his ABC song. H MY J K A camel Ill be .

That's so sweet. My sister got her first and only nickname when #1 was 3 and couldn't say her name. She is now Zsahz.

Maybe since he is a legal adult, they can't discuss his case with you??? otherwise, I can't think of a single reason why his worker wouldn't start off by discussing his abilities and needs with you. People, even those who have some experience, equate communication difficulties with low IQ. She needs to be reminded he is quite intelligent. AND since she is NOT his mother, she has no excuse for being rude and authoritarian with him. She needs to be his coach. At least she doesn't seem intimidated by him yet, which is good because she's still coming and, you know, truck, but she won't stand a chance if you both give her the works. Have a chat with her. Give her the inside scoop on your baby... nobody knows him better. She needs to find a way to do her job and treat him with dignity.

Well Wishing, Thats all moot point now. seems that was just the start of a bad day for Robert. Bless his heart. They got home with him refusing to speak to her and after she left he said Fire that C*** . So we did.

Tom fell in the shower and ended up not eating anyway. Half a bowl of soup and gave the grilled cheese to the dogs. He has always loved grilled cheese and of course you know his feelings for the soup.
