I looked up shelter pets for St Louis last night (we were there with a friend). I think I’m finally narrowing down what I’m looking for.

They are all so cute, but that last one looks sweet as well. There is a quick temperament test you can do at a shelter that might help make your decision. Mutt recommended this for testing puppies, but look at the second to last section for evaluating older shelter dogs. http://www.volhard.com/pages/pat.php
It's quick and easy, should not be done around other dogs, and will help you find a dog that will submit to you as the pack leader.
Based on my last 2 dogs, that I choose as puppies, this test will work. Both were very dominant and it would have shown up in the test. I will never get another dog with testing.

Oh, by the way, Scooter, our stray dog (that I didn't choose! ) passes with flying colors! He's a good boy and very easy to live with! Except for the hair.

last cup of coffee then I need to go. Sooo, @Wishing4Wings @twisted-acres-farm seems there was a mix up in my yeast meds and I havent been on any of them. NOT my fault . DR wanted to try different one and I was taking it and cant take them together so new one run out and old one was not added back. OK, So I have been throwing the old one away because I thought I was still getting the new one.

Well good heavens! Too much to keep track of... Was it the pharmacist that caught this?

Finches, all we have in our shelter s pit bulls and bad chis

It is all the rescue groups! They go in and swoop up any dog that isn't pit or chi. Then they have ridiculous requirements and high fees for "adoption." Wasn't like this 30 yrs ago... could find very good dogs at the county shelter.

News is saying the cold is going to hang on a little longer out your way. ugh. How are your chickens doing? Everyone survive?
Are DD and kids still staying at the shop to keep warm?

AND just how is that NOT your fault you should know what you are taking and what it is for.

you would be wrong. I take about 15 pills a day. Tom even more. I was diagnosed with double dementia dont matter if people believe that or not. I am living it. Pharmacist fills weekly planners for Tom and myself . Something I am no longer able to do. I know some of the pills I am supposed to be taking but not all. Saying I should know I am not taking it is like saying I like to be in pain and smell like rotted flesh . Is there anyone here that dont know how old their children are , when their anniversary is or even when they pooped last ? Cause I dont. Do you Have to go shopping with someone so you dont get lost or walk into a store and not have a clue why your there ? Drive the same road you have been driving for 11 yrs to go to the store and suddenly everything looks new like you've never seen it before ? Cause I do. I wouldnt wish this life on my worst enemy . I wanted to work, Loved my job and not just Mi. but Indiana as well put me up in front of all their drs and said no way and that was before my body betrayed me.
Im not trying to fuss or preach, Just hope you understand . These things are hurtful to me and I would change them if I could.
