I have been out and i didn't like it. All the chickens survived the night, likely due to the heat lamp i put in.
I started rolling old pine logs up to the bottom of the hoop coop to block wind. There is a small gap in the tarps at the bottom. Plus it helps further anchor it.
This is supposed to be our coldest night yet. I want to take a picture down at the river, but i don't want to walk back up so i might take the Mule.

No bad smell in the run today. Could it be from a higher protein diet? They’ve been getting a mix of 18% and 24%

It could be, the extra protein will be reduced to Amonia by ground bacteria in wet conditions.

Here's my progress from yesterday. Not only did I have a lot of snow to move when I got down from the roof, but had to dig the windows out from the pile.

Looks like u got main part of the snow load off the house. I was worried the roof might collapse on you.
