Granny's gone and done it again

DD will probably be upset about her because she hatched her. They named her #9 because that was the number I had wrote on the egg. She's better off now. I don't have a good area to nurse birds back to health especially in frigid temps. Besides I don't like to treat birds with meds. To me if they aren't strong enough I would rather put them down. Might sound mean to some, but I've learned the hard way about medicating birds. It just keeps coming back.
Sorry you lost a chicken. Sometimes they can't hatch for a reason.

I never knew you had even started a thread Alley. Sorry to hear you had to shut it down :hit
Yeah, when the silkie chicks were showing respiratory problems after I got them I made a thread to get answers since I’ve never dealt with it before. Some members started arguing in the thread and the next thing I know Pam messaged me and asked if I knew it got locked. I was really upset about it because I was asking for advice but other members caused it to be shut down.

So sorry Alley, why do people have to be butt heads? How are your chickens?

So they can have 2 butts? :lau

They are alive but still not normal. I’ve not been able to call the vet because of work and now this weather. But if it is mycoplasma then they will have to be culled. Can’t be NPIP with that.
