It’s here. I was cold doing chicken chores earlier. It is good. I make good soup and thats where it ends. Well, I think I do anyway.
Ally, heads up if this weather is heading your way. It is bitter cold out and the wind cuts like a knife .
oh no!I found one of my bantam roos dead today. No clue. He was healthy so I suspect fowl play . He was the biggest one out there too and over a yr. old. No predator

So now they’re on the pond and I just hope they stay close. Mollie has pools for them but said she got them from a muddy breed pen, so they’ve never been on water before.
Went and got ducks from Mollie. Everything was great, got them into the tractor without a fuss, but one door was open.So now they’re on the pond and I just hope they stay close. Mollie has pools for them but said she got them from a muddy breed pen, so they’ve never been on water before.
Cayuga drake has green head. Others are hens. Biggest curious one is a pekin/mallard cross, that’s why she’s so big. Mollie said she was getting duck eggs.

They are pretty camp, sorry they got out. Anyway to catch them at night? Do they fly?

Could you set a net trap with some goodies? Something ground based? She said they don’t fly but based on my experience with scovies I can’t imagine I’ll be able to catch them.
