depends on how dirty the egg are and how "baked/caked" on the filth is. Damp wash cloth works on the slightly soiled. For those hard to clean spots I may run under water (cool to lukish warm) and then use a soft/fabric-like scritchie and scrub. The sup[er nasty ones I get as clean as I can and those are the ones I eat or the go to the dogs OR hardboiled and fed back to the hens shells and all, just crushed or smashed. <very satisfying> smashing eggs can be.

IF the eggs are brown it is possible to scrub the color off, Just tell people they are pinto eggs and you really should charge more as they are hard to come by :cool:
