vroom vroom!
I had a hawk snatch my favorite Polish pullet in TN and i saw it fly off with her screaming. So not fond of hawks. Walk softly and carry a big shotgun.Hawk is probably HANGRY! Good thing you got them back in. Do you know what kind of hawk? The smaller hawks don't bother my large hens, just the bantams. Neighbors had a red-tailed kill one of their big hens... so far, never had a hawk that big near my birds so big girls are always out during the day.
We have Bald Eagles here, looking for fish in the river probably. It was big. The neighbors is a good distance away and the thing still looked huge sweeping between the trees. Body had to have been much bigger than my cats. Wasn’t as big as a buzzard but probably the 2nd biggest bird I’ve seen body wise.
We have them by the river too. They’ve been spotted all over the county. We have Bald Eagles here, looking for fish in the river probably.
