He beat the bunny’s and the twistlettes. But he didn’t beat my chicks.

Is she getting cuter?

We might need to try the pallet method. No digging and I can set it up in one of the few sunny spots. Does anyone use a double layer of pallets?

hahaa! Totally a Siamese. :) Based on that look, he is trying to control your mind. Also, very Siamese.
Some people make a box of pallets and have a raised bed.

Somehow I missed the whole thread where you got a dog, where did you go to get her?

I found a rescue group in Lufkin, Texas. They met me halfway in Jasper, tx. I filled out an application and was approved, but I haven’t paid yet because this is still the “trial period.”

She’s one of the pups I showed y’all a few days ago when I was narrowing down that I wanted something with spots

OK, I am dying to get in there and help that malpo. He pipped this morning. How long can he live like that?

A while. Malpos are tricky because while you see an external pip, that’s actually their internal pip. Still absorbing yolk for the big push. As long as it’s breathing and quiet, it’s still ok. If it starts screaming in distress, you can pick away a bit of shell in a line like it would if it were hatching on its own. Most of the time they do.
