Lisa, why do you have to worm one at a time ? Thats all I have left to do w/ mine and continue the vit/elec. which seem to be helping .

It hard right now to put in their waterer & know if all are getting dosed. Between rain (puddles) & the birds eating the ice piles I want to be sure they all are treated.

I have standing water in my big coop. Very nasty. I sure hope they dont get sick from it. Been thinking about closing it off til I can get something done but its their nest boxes and temps will be 30s at night.

I didn't treat them in the fall & after laying 2 doz a day all winter & then suddenely dropping down to 6-8 a day this spring. I want to make sure I don't have a repeat of last summer with my previous birds.

But an LA dog wouldn’t be as awesomely ambitious as my purebred Canadian.

Peach reminds me of my Lucy. She was half boxer, half collie. Same head, face and ears, same coloring. Owners of the mama boxer had all the pups' tails docked, worried they'd look like pits. Boxer was pure bred and they had plans to breed her to a nice male. Neighbor's collie jumped the fence and beat them to it! Actually, he must have climbed it... very tall fence... but not tall enough. Talk about ambitious.

Its almost as bad as when you and your DH cleaned it . No straw though. The water just dont have anywhere else to go.

So i had a funny thing happen today. The SS were in the big chicken yard free ranging. I went up to close the coop up and the door was shut. All 4 hens in there! Put themselves to bed i guess!

I dont remember what kind I got but one of the jubs has a nasty butt.

Is it nasty butt or just a over zealous rooster. My BCM thinks he has to nail his victims like 5 or 6 times with each mating. Poor girls are being smashed in the mud & their bottoms are messy.
