Granny's gone and done it again

Lost an orp chick a few nights ago and an amerecauna one today. One was so pasted I had to give it a bath. I actually thought it was some sort of weird infection, because it looked and felt smooth like skin. But then it washed away. I know it wasn’t a hot brooder because I was keeping it cooler and lowered the lamp after a few were damp. But I guess it was still too late. I’ve raised the lamp a bit again so they don’t overheat tonight.

@campingshaws sorry about your roo, praying it wasn't Josie. I had a possum right out in front of my chicken runs in broad daylight last week. It was pacing the fence trying to figure out how to get in. I flew out the door with s spade shovel in my hands. I managed to connect 4 times with it before it crawled under a small deck. Not certain if it hurt it enough to kill it, but I sure hope so.

So sorry for your loss.
