I meddled. A zip stopped halfway and stayed like that for 45 minutes(at least). So I picked some of the shell off. Baby still couldn’t get out of the sack. Helped there too a bit. Turns out it’s vaulted skull was in the way also it’s a big chick. At least compared to the rest.

I know it was wrong by the moon but I planted 47 tomato seeds (dropped one ), 32 peppers of all types, and 22 sparky mix marigolds. I think I waited too long on my broccoli but I’m going to get them going today, too, as well as more marigolds, peppers, and whatever else I get to. I’m going to order the vermiculite for the garden beds and work on them this week. It turned cold!

Orange sun pepper
California wonder pepper
Golden California wonder pepper
Purple beauty pepper
Diamond pepper

I still have:
Super sweet 100 hybrid tomato
Purple beauty pepper

Comb isn't going to change... it's not a rose comb. Sadly, she is feathering in barred and not laced, too.
I think things happen for a reason, and this chicken will probably rival Sparkles for being your best friend!

Whoa, now that's a little harsh KiKi. You have all the fine badges & such, which are great & all, but where the H3LL is your compassion. Pam is not trying to disregard her duties, but due to her MULTIPLE HEALTH issues she struggles with certain things are tougher for her. I pray to God that you never have to walk in that woman's shoes. She is not intentionally trying to make her birds suffer. What this wonderful woman is trying to do is have SOME kind of life. Her limitations get greater with each passing day & she deserves to have something that brings her joy. You advice is sound, dont think I'm begrudging you that, but your "Holier-than-thou" additude is what I can't tolerate. She did not need a public belittling fest. She feels horrible everytime something bad happens, but unless your going to get off your butt to fly there to see for yourself that she is giving them good care, I would stifle it. I will probably get a smack for being honest, but I've known from day one what your agenda was. Your dash board says it all & you have the Mods on your side for the most part. I truly can't see Kim or a couple other Mods speak to Pam in this manner. I've said my 2 cents worth, be what it may!

Chick pics! They are dry, just not fluffy I need to knock the feathers loose.
These are not all chicks. Wet ones are still in the bator. They were being a bit wild with the remaining eggs.

Granny here is the 2 weird colored ones.
It is dark feathers not skin showing.
