Yes I took her on Friday. We had her in a hospital cage for about a week.
she was eating and drinking but her paralysis keep creeping up her body.

the vet told me to only vaccinate new chicks. Problem is once you open the vial you have throw away the rest. You cant vaccinate older birds.

I got my scovie eggs. She said last year she got white, blue and white, black and white and chocolate.

I have a chicken with progressive paralysis. I think she might have Merick disease. I am taking her to the UC davis backyard poultry to have her euthanized and a port mortem done.

Tom on my nerves already. I know now why he woke me up and it wasnt from "worry". He was hungry. A frozen pizza he couldnt do himself. I handed it to him and he walks away. I said, Did you say something ? No. Well dont you think you should ? He said thanks , takes a bite then complains its cold.

well if it , it is. I guess its in the dirt. Dont really know how you can screen for it. The vaccine is 100 percent effective. so I will know when I get the report. I would rather know than not.

it was pretty cool where I took the bird. The vet came out and talked to me. She said not sell or give away any of my birds and give all new chicks the vaccine. I wont cull until they go down. She said wont be affected.

Where did you take it? To Davis or one of the extension sites?

OOPS, i meant the vaccine is NOT 100 PERCENT EFFECTIVE.

I was going to ask. Thought maybe they developed a new more effective vaccine, darn it.

Such an interesting disease. It is similar to cancer in humans. They doing studies on the vaccine to use in humans.
