Granny's gone and done it again

I need to put a stop to Bandits attention to the cats. The older he gets the more apparent it becomes. I dont need a cat killer. That was my cat he chased today and the way he snatched that chicken ....

um maybe a shock collar as much as I DISlike them especially in the wrong hand's it can absolutely ruin a dog.

I am wondering if the hatchery did NOT miss vaccinating your chicks. Just seems like to large of a % of deaths otherwise.
They might have. But there are also different strains of the virus and the vaccine is no guarantee. And Sussex are very susceptible to Mereks.

Dogs are considered puppies from birth to one year of age and go through several puppy stages and development periods. A newborn puppy doesn't look much like a dog and goes through different stages of puppy development during his first twelve weeks. However, each dog develops differently, with smaller dogs tending to mature earlier and some large breeds not physically mature before they are two years old.

The rate of puppy development also varies from breed to breed. For instance, Cocker Spaniel puppies open their eyes sooner than Fox Terrier puppies, and Basenji puppies develop teeth earlier than Shetland Sheepdog puppies. However, no matter the breed, all puppies are born totally dependent on the momma dog, technically called the bitch.

Hi Cap.
Not sure how much more of this hen I can take. I balled my eyes out. Thats all I am good for any more. I didnt hurt her. She is mad. Soaked for half hr. Prolapse is smaller but turning dark. I put it back and it slips right back out. Anyway , putting her away and she clawed me all to hell. My stomach and flat tires are clawed up. Tom wants me to cull her because its hurting me to tend her. She is eating, drinking, taking her meds and its getting smaller. Bout the size of an aggie marble now.
:hitSo sorry she is hurting you hun, you are between a rock & hard place with her. Sounds like prolapse is getting better, but I know nothing about them. Will it stay in after you get the remaining area to go in?

Transitional Period: Week Two-to-Four
The second week of life brings great changes for the puppy. Ears and eyes sealed since birth begin to open during this period, ears at about two weeks and eyelids between ten to 16 days. This gives the furry babies a new sense of their world. They learn what their mother and other dogs look and sound like, and begin to expand their own vocabulary from grunts and mews to yelps, whines, and barks. Puppies generally stand by day 15 and take their first wobbly walk by day 21

I hate to think of that too he wont listen though If I had new fence I could handle how he acts with the house cats. But he is gonna get killed on that road.
