The 16 bean I bought comes w/ a ham flavor packet. Mom insisted on buying that kind . She rinsed them and lost all the yellow one and half the green then she would throw the flavor pack in the garbage, add her onion and bacon grease and a box of chicken broth and we was good to go. and salt.

well ladies I be poop out. and the pups have finally passed out of course they and Beth still have their "special" night feeding just before I head down the stairs.

oh and she made them on the stove. took about 2-3 hrs.

oh and she made them on the stove. took about 2-3 hrs.

hum I boil mine just in water and baking soda until almost tender and then into the oven. Then I don't have to worry about scorching
