these are all last years calves other then Hailey who will be 2, Average lifespan, 25 to 30 years.

I tried breaking the playset down to get it through the gate but it wasn’t budging. Maybe tomorrow.

So ended up with a side x side fridge and an top freeze fridge BOTH full-sized, to apartment size fridges, a recliner and some other stuff today from an oil company who were emptying 5 of the houses they owned here in Dickinson, my cost, was a sore back from lifting and toteing. And a couple TV's as well. Everything was still plugged in and running so I know they all work just need a GOOD cleaning.

OH and the 15 cubic ft chest freezer also.

We stopped at Running's again today and picked up a couple halters for Martinika and Fifth and then have one out there for Granola. Rod is going to start getting them tame and people friendly. Also got a box of "cab fresh" to drive all the mice out of the annex. All natural oils on corncob grindings and then in a bag.

you can keep 3 adults on the same amount of land as a single cow. No grain ever. Meat is healthier then skinless chicken breast.

They eat meat whoa & no grain wow,thought they'd eat hay

Just a bit. Both are pretty lean. They get pellets and hay.

Dad tilled it up a few months ago because only shrubby plants were growing. There are a few places with grass but my gosh this clay!

what about the black chickens ?

They just have a ton of pigments.
Like everyone has blue eyes... most just have extra pigments that make other colors.
