No she had someone do it for her. At least that's what I recall. They are very cute. Did you hatch those?
Sorry Alley, it always hurts to lose one. I put the waterers up on a piece of 2x4 so less shavings get in it. They can also learn to drink from rabbit water bottles.Dead silkie chick. I think it’s a mix between heat and not getting water. They keep kicking bedding in it.
Oh that’s right. They look really nice.No she had someone do it for her. At least that's what I recall.
Just like the flu, Marek's virus evolves, and does so very quickly, so vaccines get outdated. Virulent strains are allowed to survive in vaccinated birds, and it's becoming stronger. No sandhill doesn’t vaccinate and to buy the vaccine for the ones I hatched wasn’t cost effective plus the way the vaccine doesn’t work. So much conflicting advice. I know people that got their chicks vaccinated and they still died. They really don’t have clue about the disease. Some say one thing others say another.
Nice. I love blueberries! This is my berry patch. Trying to weed out the stuff that doesn't belong. View attachment 1398756
There are blueberries and blackberries in there. Adding some strawberries and mulch.
Mine is up on a little mound but the still manage to kick stuff in it. The silkies aren’t too smart to drink out of the fountain. I may put a pan in there.Sorry Alley, it always hurts to lose one.
