Granny's gone and done it again

sigh... thank you
I wish I could shake that feeling that I tossed something I might "need."

If I think about how much time and energy I've put into managing what amounts to a bunch of crap... a huge box of cards and letters from a lifetime ago... I didn't even remember who some of the people were. Pretty foolish.

LOL I try to save last years Christmas cards so I know who to mail to the next year. And then into the trash except for immediate family that is

I’ve purged lots lately. It gets easier. But also not. In my office in a box I have my favorite necklace from when I was about six, all in pieces because the string broke. When I think about those beads I can smell the inside of the church on Easter Sunday. I’m never going to wear that necklace, but I keep the beads in a craft box anyway.

how about re-stringing them for a bracelet ??

I have a broken necklace of my mothers I want strung as a rosary for the nieces BUT alas that is as far as I have gotten with it.

That's the kind of stuff that's good to keep. It's small and had a lot of meaning. One special thing is much better than a bunch of nothings... like all my banking records?? 5 years of (very organized :)) bank statements, tossed into some random box and there they sat for 30 yrs. :hit I need therapy!!! Or a swift boot in the rear end.

Both of those are very good ideas!

I don't mean to be alarmist, but did Pam have something going on tonight?... seems like she left the thread abruptly, as soon as I got on. :( Maybe she needed a nap, but she usually says something.

I went through the kids’ school papers today and decided what to keep and toss.

I also have vet records for pets that are long long gone and electric bills from houses I lived in during college. It’s not 30 years, but it would’ve been if I hadn’t helped clean out the homes of three elderly packrat siblings. That helped me turn around.
