yay! Yertle gets new digs! And you get the color topper you want when they replace the messed up wrong color one. Don't pay them a dime extra either! My aquarium stand came in!Got it all put together. The turtle topper came in also but not only did they send the wrong color (it’s ok but they charged me for the green which was extra) but it arrived damaged. Big chunk out of the side.
I've got to agree with granny. I don't have people over often, but when I do I want to be able to give my full attention to them and make them comfortable in my home. I don't want to have to shush or train the dog or worry about him peeing on them from being so excited.""granny hatchet said:
"I hate locking the dogs up when people come over. They raising a ruckus and no one is even here yet. They just know the routine . How do you ever socialize or train a dog to behave if they arent exposed to strangers? Seems like thats how biting dogs are made. I guess people just dont like 3 strange dogs jumping on them all at once scratching them and demanding pats."
I agree with Alley, granny.. I don't have any dogs at the moment, and doubt I'd get another in this life, but it'as true.. You're right, just expose them to visitors, they'll learn how to behave and socialize..![]()
Oh camping. It’s 85 in the kitchen, and we’re all sick. Drinking water isn’t cutting it.

Depending on who is expected, I will put him outside or in the garage in the winter, which is fine. If it's someone he knows, and who knows our "people are coming over routine" (NO EYE CONTACT with the dog, completely ignore him unless he is calm) then he can stay in and he does pretty well. Problem is usually with the guests who cannot follow my simple request to pretend the dog is not there. They always start with the high pitched excited voices and bend over to pet him when he's trying to climb their leg, and of course he ends up peeing... on their leg or shoes!Serves them right in some ways, but it's just easier to put him out. Then I get to enjoy myself too, and not worry about what might happen. Like soggy shoes.
Oh camping. Is there someone able to take over the cooking so you can get some rest? And someone to take care of all the animals and the kids? And someone to take care of you.

I was just looking at guppies last weekend. There were some beautiful fan tailed ones! So pretty. Do you know how long they live? I guess they need heated water. If I was going to set up a tank again, I would get some pretty guppies.Haha guppies is what I’d get. I love those little fish! So many colors now.
Yertle is in a 10 gal so I could use his once I move him over to the bigger one.
