Granny's gone and done it again

Are all guppies the same species? Some look very much like Betta fish to me.

This is what I think of as a guppy.

And this one is a fancy guppy (Poecilia reticulata) which looks like a Betta. Are these the same species? Can they interbreed? (if one was female! :D)

Yes I had both! And many colors!

So I guess that answers my question... no, there is no one to take care of you and you are busy taking care of everyone else.
Do you have some fans? Set a big bowl of ice in front of a fan and it really helps cool things down.
Or, call someone in to fix the dang ac! No ac, no food!

haha! We should be roommates. My snoring would lull you to sleep every night!
As long as you can handle me talking in my sleep! Lol

Guppys like the cooler water, no heater required . they like the alge and planted tanks although they will eat the plants. 68 degrees if I remember right. They will eat their babies if its not planted well Marbles are a good choice for them to hide in or take them out to another tank. BUT good luck finding the ladies. Fish store dont want you to have pairs. You stop buying them when you breed them.
Yes only males in stores. IF you can find a female they are 3x the price of males.

This is a BIG ol IF so probably shouldnt mention it but I have 2 tanks. Been wanting to take the smaller one down and set the 30 gal. up leaving an empty 15 gallon long. Is that big enough Alley ?
For a turtle? Just 1 would be ok. It needs lots of water, they like to dive.

:barnie Don't the turtle tanks have to be emptied and scrubbed a few time a month? So much work.
Uhhhhh with a good filter I’ve only cleaned mine out completely once. And he’s been in that tank since December. I just add water weekly or 2x a week.
