I came home to 15 new quail! Sold 3 today, thought i was giving the others more space! Idk where i am putting these, i need to empty out one of the brooders in the bathroom.

You could build a quail brooding coop!

I am a dripping pile of sweat. Went out checked on chickens honestly debating bringing the buff orph and spangled Hamburg in. More so the orph but those two are peas in a pod. But I did get them to have a drink so...and they may realize the coop now has mud to scratch in. I put a bag of frozen broccoli in one of the nesting boxes and I have an ice pack in the corner of the coop the orph and Hamburg we’re hanging out in.

Well. We suspect haha. Tsc mystery chicken!

I was out at 6 watering the chickens. It was already bloody hot. Ugh. Gonna be a busy fire weekend - hubs brought home a loaner work truck this weekend in case he’s needed due to some fires nearby.

He’s now fully on board with getting my project car fixed up and smogged so he can take that to work and not mind so much if it gets left there for a bit. That may happen next weekend though. This weekend...the only thing happening outside is periodic checks on the chickens. Too darned hot.
