Granny's gone and done it again

It’s funny how we get acclimated to these things. I’m sitting on the porch in a long-sleeved shirt and fuzzy slippers and occasionally I catch a chill from the breeze. Anything less than 105 feels like a vacation!

ohh , see ! I thought that was a sure thing they were bad eggs.
They float because they have dried out, lost some water.

We’ve been with them for about 15years. They won’t waive it. I even said to look at date on check and postage.
Ask for a supervisor, and the supervisor's supervisor if you have to. It is an unreasonable charge. It was postmarked before the due date. They should have a grace period for long term customer that has a good payment history.

haha! Those two big ones (males?) ran out of steam. PLOP! PLOP!

My squash literally outgrew the bed.

It looks healthy! Have you been getting squash off it?

Granny, this is the chick that I believe is the coronation Sussex. She said that was the only one that would hatch solid yellow.

Yes, males. Yes! Lots of big squash, and loads of little baby squash right now. Mr. Calico.

Same temps so pleasant for a change:love
Maybe we'll have an early fall:confused:

I got the first part of the roof tacked on, there will be 3 parts total. It was hard because i was pulling on the wire to stretch it and holding it with one hand and stapling.
The hardware cloth is installed over the window, and hubby put a knob on it so i can easily open it from outside. Now i need to put a latch on. Other than finishing the roof, its mostly security issues to accomplish. Hardware cloth skirt, hardware cloth 12" high all the way around the run on the bottom. Hardware cloth up in the eaves. Hubby wonders why the Lowes bill is high! Wire dude, i need more wire!

Okay. So. Hubs’ reaction. He hasn’t followed up but I think he realizes I’m still not on my period.

So Thursday after peer pressure I come home and take the test. It comes back negative. Ok, into the trash it goes. Husband comes home and I ask him about his day (first day at work) and he expresses a desire to go to “cruise night” and goes to go into the house. Ok, really didn’t want to do this convo as a hurried rushed thing but....so I tell him just so you know, I’m 8 days late (now I’m 12. Yikes) and you’ll see a pregnancy test box in the garbage in the bathroom. It came back negative. The whole time he has his blank but upset face. He has a face where he tries to bundle it up but kinda can’t all that well it’s hard to explain. So...yeah. There’s that.

I laugh at my friend who peer pressured me’s husband though. He knows somethings up cause I didn’t drink at her birthday bash. And questioned me on it and I said I’m in a I don’t know what’s going on phase so I’m playing it safe.
I stopped by their house to drop off a book for their kids and grab my veggie platter tonight and he says as I’m leaving “good luck with your period!!” Only him. Shake my head.

So got some tests. Granny will take it in the am and let y’all know.
