I think on Friday we will pour the calves and then "release" Granola from her leash. She is as tame as I really want them. I think along the same level/lines as Star, NOT a sign of aggression or any real fear of humans and willing to take treats from your hand.

depends in his "mood" Porter likes treats and scritches both, and Star will take treats from your hand any time EXCEPT for a week or two after she has calved and if she is in "season"

the calves are NOT to sure about humans yet BUT once in the chute are usually pretty calm and you can pet/rub/scratch to your hearts content. And with a little help it's pretty easy to get them into the chute area and thru it.
