Granny's gone and done it again

so Sheila "news" or lack there of.

Still no calf and she "looks tired" call into vet BUT of course he is on another "emergency call" so now I sit here and wait.

The good news is she is up and out of the creek area.

I have it set that Angie would/will watch desk until 5 pm and Gene is already scheduled to come over at 5 as there is an auction I wanted/needed to attend, They have 3 side delivery rakes for offer/bid.
Well, shoot. I had a feeling this would be going on, but ever hopeful.

less then 5 hours sleep and "stressed" would be an understatement:he

OH and Sally is having puppies currently :wee
Sally is having puppies??? Call Guinness Records!

Thank you love your avatar:gig:yuckyuck
KRAMER!!!!!

I don’t know what to think about that avatar. Hubs might get shipped to NorCal - his boss is trying to deny it though.

His truck isn’t even outfitted yet
You are to young to have been a Seinfeldian... 25 years ago, Thursday night was Seinfeld night. Episodes were rehashed during break time at work on Fridays. It was a cultural phenomenon. People went into withdrawals after the final episode. :p

The fires are bad up here and containment is low. Mendocino county fire is huge. They need all the help they can get, and he would be out of the danger zone, yes?

and still nothing from the vet :barnie:he:rant:rant
:hugs Waiting with you. I have been thinking about it all morning.

Sheila is occasionally getting up and letting the little one nurse. And still waiting .
:pop
Good that she is getting up for nursing. That's a good mama. Glad the vet is coming. She's got be tired. You're going to be there, aren't you? Got to learn how to assist calving, just in case. (haha If you go to the trouble to learn, it will never happen again!)

It’s Kramer from Seinfeld. Did you ever watch Seinfeld?
Funniest show ever.
EVER. :highfive:

Quite possible we just had a tiny earthquake. Could have just been the wind making the house crack a bit, but I also heard or felt a real low tone or vibration.
hmmmm, now the fire dept just left on a call. Volunteer dept is 1/4 mile away. I can hear the sirens. hmmm coincidence? Hope to heavens it's not a fire.

Fingers crossed for no fires wishing.

Kinda not really. If a truck broke down on the front line he’d go to it.
oh. That's pretty dangerous. Has he had training for that? How to take cover and all?
I don't want to scare you, but the worst thing going on up here are that entire trees are exploding. Literally. Too much standing dead wood... they get lit up and kaplooie. Generally happens toward the center of a hot fire, so no one has been hurt by it, but my goodness, those guys are up against a lot.

Yeah. Not much training if any...that he’s told me about anyway. He told me he was thinking of going in for being a dozer tender but that takes some
More courses and stuff...sigh

Twist I shake my head at your vet. My goodness.

Aaaand notification from calfire. 10 acre fire on the other end of town from my house. Sounds like they’re knocking it down right quick though - forward spread stopped at 10% contained.

...I need to put my camper on the truck. And live in that. With dog and chickens. So I don’t have to worry about them when I’m at work lol.
