Granny's gone and done it again

Toms DD / her DH just went back for surgery. Scary stuff.
Hope he's doing okay. Both of them laid up now.

only Yak I know of that you have to pluck feathers out of .
She's looking good. How old when you wean her off the bottle?

I had coons in the pole barn eating cat food. Never had one get in the coops. I should of took the last maran out of there.
What a bummer. Sorry you lost the marans. Are the Polish wild boys still hanging around?

About 1/3 to 1/4 of the peppers my 12 ? plants gave me this year. The yellow one's were really slow in turning View attachment 1546386 View attachment 1546387
Beautiful! I love bell peppers. Eat them raw mostly.

Woo hoo!! National beer drinking day. "Hic"
You mean there's a special day for it? It's not EVERY day?

Yep, the silent auction. I’d be happy with $35, but obviously more is better. People just don’t like paying for quilts and afghans. But since it’s folks who know me, maybe it’ll go for more.
That's not even a dollar an hour, and it will be so pretty. It's for charity too. They should shell out!!

Keeping the wife happy
Sneaky answer there, Pert. I bet you were CIA. :)

The turkey roosted in the only place i could catch her, the part of run #2 that doesn't have any wire on top yet. I set down the flashlight and grabbed her by the legs. Of course she starts beating her wings. I try to get my arms around her and i ended up getting scratched by one toenail.

Did you know you are not suppose to eat the green ones.
Why ever not? I eat them all the time.

Tom made a cut out for Nugget to eat in peace out of a small bed side table . No more doggy noses in the kitty chow. I dont think fat cats can get to it either.
Brilliant! Good idea and good on Tom for getting it fixed up. :thumbsup

I saw you were on a little while ago, but you left before I caught up. :hmm Hope you are feeling a little better. It was cool and gray today, light drizzle too. Hopefully fire season is coming to a close.

I cant take credit, It was a pintrest picture. I drew cat ears in the hole. LOL
SIL is doing ok. No bag thank goodness. Lots of pain I hear. Maybe I am having sympathy pains. Polish still going strong. One has become friendly to me and the other wants to kill.

Unripe And Green Peppers. ... Solanine is a poison contained in all foods belonging to the Solanaceae family, including bell peppers, eggplants, potatoes and tomatoes. If ingested in large quantities, solanine can be toxic, but the substance disappears as the fruit arrives to full maturity.Oct 27, 2016

But here's the real reason you should stop buying green bell peppers: they're not nearly as good for you nutritionally as the other peppers. Red bell peppers contain up to 11 times more beta-carotene, as well as higher levels of both Vitamin A and Vitamin C than green bell peppers.Jun 19, 2016

sent Robert home with about 8 gallons of squash trimmings. Processed 48 cups of squash all in containers now cooling down before hauling to the freezer. I put it in those 4 cup Rubbermaid containers. Baked the chunks in the over and then food milled the works. Thinking about trying some in "pumpkin bread" and see how that is.

My "indoor" maters got ahead of me so cooking them down now. Just a small sauce pot full a the moment. But I will just stick it in the fridge and then add to it and cook it down again before running the works thru a food mill.

Man, don't they know yet that EVERYTHING is bad for you in large quantities. I'm not stopping... the good outweighs the bad.
