Granny's gone and done it again

I switched my LF chickens food a few bags ago from crumbled flock raiser to laying pellets. The difference is $8.00 a bag and today I cracked eggs the yolks were very pale yellow. Almost the color of Alleys house. Very disappointed. Thats a big price difference though

The redish /rust coloured star on your house is a nice colour far as I can tell
that thing is almost 20 years old! It was painted a nice solid red but had faded over the years. I like the color now.

Dropping 2 cats off tonight for surgery. Can pick them up Wednesday.

I was thinking flat concrete under it. And a new bottom.

lol that’s what it was. But not painted, more like stained. It was pink from the sun.
Stepping stones unless you know someone cause poured concrete is very expensive. Guess you could do it yourself even if its just a ring around the wood.

What do I need to do for Nugget before surgery ? Rabies ?

I’ll probably do stepping stones. That way I can move them if needed.

Depends on the clinic. Most want them to be 2.5-3 lbs before surgery. But vaccine requirements are different. Mine doesn’t require any.

I bought a bag of the cubes and they wouldnt touch it. I hate to go back to the crumbles.

Should I just call different clinics and find the cheapest one ?

nope he had bales of hay and would just give them a flake of it.

and what they didn't eat/scratch/pick through acted as extra bedding

Its probably my imagination but they didnt taste as good. I know Benny said he used tumeric or something but thats just an illusion right ? I mean its not making the yolk any richer tasting
