Granny's gone and done it again

Visited Colchester today to pick up the groom’s dress suit and also a bit of shopping. There was a park near the shops, and a castle. The largest Norman castle, built on a Roman temple, just a block from the pub where we had lunch. Friends had a few boring errands, so DH and I had lunch and I went to the castle alone. It was really interesting!

It was fitted as an air-raid shelter in 1939 and they said one of the tour guides remembers shopping as a child and running to the castle when they heard the sirens.

Having a great time, bought exciting things like moisturizer and mascara and that cute little purse. I’ve got a solid grasp on the coins.

Wedding is Saturday and we just love the guy. This was our first time meeting him but he’s basically bffs with DH. There they are walking up to the castle.

I enlarged the picture to see more detail and see a bird in the air above the flagpole to the far right. Can't make out what kind of bird it is. I'm sure they have different breed of birds than we have here.

I am still eating tomatoes from my garden!
:hitI went to 2 stands today. One had 6 tomatoes sitting out and even though they were yellow I got all excited . I picked one up and it squirted in my hand and a ton of fruit flys went swarming. Broke my heart.

Had boiled in beer homemade sausage with fired onions and peppers. On a bun. Brother really like it, and I loved the fact that I made the sausage and onions and peppers were from my garden.
