Granny's gone and done it again

h20, what's the typical life span for a PWD? 14 yrs seems a pretty good age. You have taken good care of her.

When my Belle died last July, the vet called it catastrophic collapse. She said there was probably a tumor that had grown and burst causing blood loss. She mentioned that it probably involved the spleen... that it was a common place for a tumor. I had Belle put down the same day, since she couldn't get up or do anything really. She was 12 yrs and I thought that was a good age for an 80 lb dog.

I remember that. He stopped eating too didnt he ? Or he got sick really fast.
My Star is 11 .

I used chicken wire but I put it on the inside. I stapled it to the 2x4s. Not sure what type of screw I need to screw wood into alu.
I would use a metal screw, or drill holes and use drywall screws. You know that chicken wire will not keep predators out?

She was fine the day before, running around in the yard, ate and went to bed like normal. In the morning, I found her collapsed on the floor, back legs splayed out sideways, cold and unable to move. We got her laid on her side back on her bed and I got her a blanket. I thought maybe she had a stroke, but the vet said rapid internal bleeding.

Idk what is worse, losing them fast or losing them slow. My Standard Poodle had a cancerous growth. I stayed with her while they gave her the lethal injection. Cried my eyes out. She was a fun dog!
