Phone co. called. said they want to come out and replace copper w/ fiber optic . Says we will have faster/ better internet. Also , and I see this as a problem, Landlines will no longer work if electric goes out. Said they will install a battery back up that will work w/o electric as long as the battery is good. Their battery will last about 6 hrs. in the event of a power outage but we will still have net. For a house that dont have cell phones and calls 911 on occasion this worries me.

Yes, I would be worried also. I bet you don’t have cell coverage out there either. Why didn’t you get one of those free Obama phones? At least see if it works out there.

cause you can get one of those OR internet for $10.00 a month but not both and no they dont work here.

I cleaned out half the barn! Full of old boxes, feed bags and stuff i use but have no place for storage. Raked up the old hay. Now i can move the cage for the California Valley quail into the barn.

Oh, and i took out the rest of the sutures so i don't have to go to Lynchburg Thursday!So glad they are gone, they were very irritating!
Must go toss some pumpkin to the chickens!
