Granny's county, Ripley, 4,856 electric customers are out of service. The whole southwest quarter of the state is having outages, so may take awhile to get everyone back up and running.
Hope they hurry. In the mid 30's there right now.

Yes, according to the message on my phone. Granny said it was an ice storm last night. Looked to be pretty widespread from what they showed on the weather report.

We had a couple of nights of freezing temps but fortunately it was dry

Not much here. Bubba stayed home with fever and malaise. He said his throat and head hurt. Temp is staying 101 or lower, so not that bad. I’ve been cleaning coops today, two days behind the weather. I took Josie out and instead of sticking with me she ran the opposite direction, straight into the fence. She went into the azalea thicket and wouldn’t come to me, not even for the yummy chicken skin. DH finally went in and just picked her up, and hauled her out. She was traumatized.

A week or so back I realized the last pinto guinea wasn’t with the others. I mourned him for a second and moved on. Then a couple days ago I saw him! Moving slow, so thought maybe he was injured. Went out last night and he was on the roost! Looked fine from there.

Today I’m blocking gates and opening cleaning hatches, and he hops by on one foot. So I chase him around and he’s just tangled up in string. It wasn’t bad except one toe, which he might lose.

Painting done and paint stuff all cleaned up. When I can actually get in the bathroom I will need to paint that BUT bathroom is currently full of all the salavageable furniture from that room. Went around the back yard and gathered all the impliments that were back where they belonged until NOW. Set up a portable heater in the ice and pop room as there is no heat in there. It will be interesting to see how long this heater lasts before it grows legs. Did Angie's check good thing she has a "real" full time job as her take home from the motel for the past 15 days was under $80.00. Also possiblily fixed my garage door and opener will find out for sure next time I need to get out. It goes up fine with a push of the button but seems to have seizures when closing and stops and reverses depending on its mood.

Hi h2o. Have you gotten any smoke from the fire up north? Things have changed today, and we are having less smoke... it's moved more south and inland. Hope it hasn't got to you. Livermore is socked in according to the morning weather report.

It is terrible here. Red warning and isnt going away.
