I wasn’t planning on more. Apparently I am getting them.

Unless they are 2 weeks along my are getting chunked. I hate doing that. Always reminds me of an abortion.

Alley, How did you come to picking "your" breed so easy ? I still dont know. You have a very pretty flock and I love the red ones. I have never seen any that color here.

A quick gravy can also be done this way with a roast. Put the pan on a burner and add water to the drippings, scrape all the good stuff from the bottom and add your rue.
Still, if you have the time, I would rather simmer bones and veggies for a day or two and make gravy with that.

This is really good for making dressings and assorted mayonnaise. It incorporates air into oil well...

Still, if you have the time, I would rather simmer bones and veggies for a day or two and make gravy with that.

Thats how I seen my mom make it. I have tried many times and I just make dumplings. I never made rue, I added flour to it
