When I have eggs I eat the freshest I have. I knew they wouldnt go to waste as they are feeding other critters and the shells will add calcium to the soil. Circle of life. Even for an egg. And it was just as possible they were rotten in a 70 degree kitchen . I didnt test them.

Curious, other than saving maybe 6 for hard boiling, I always use the oldest ones first. Of course when I have enough to sell, I sell the newest ones, those people are paying real money so they get the freshest

I been called worse. hahaa When you seldom cook you seldom need eggs but when I do I can use the freshest I have .

HOW old? And where were they stored. Most store eggs are fine for at LEAST 45 days from when they were packed.
