Newlywed after 14 years of single life. Last hubby was that bad,and didn't figure to ever do it again . Then met the sweetest man I ever knew at the last place I worked. Hubs and I have been married a little over a year. I don't have kids, parents, or anyone else. 1 brother in Illinois that don't talk to me - I don't talk to him. 1 aunt in WA. state who keeps me up to date on my bro and her kids. Haven't seen her in 40+ years. Hubs has a son. He is spending the first holiday with his boy since the kid was a baby...that's where he is today!
I have my first ever flock of 7 chickens:2 Golden Buffs,3 RIRs a Dominique and a Blue Andalusian. All hens about 7 1/2 months old. 1 Lab/Shep mix dog and 2 cats.
I'm 62 and hubs is 68. That's about it!

Thats a great description ! Thanks I looked on your profile and seen NFC already trying to spirit you away ! LOL We dont talk a whole lot of chicken here. I mean, we do but theres a lot of cutting up too. We are more then friends, we are family .We exchange Christmas cards , try our best to not gossip and the only rule here is if you mention a recipe and someone is interested you gotta share it ! LOL Except Twist, He thinks he is special and has a few he wont share.

Well thank you lady! I feel like a part of your thread already. We kinda been talking for a while. Seems like a very kindly place where I can be myself. I posted a pic of the pie I made for hubs family dinner in Atlanta,his boy drove in from Charlotte NC and only had one day to spend so they got a room to be able to spend as much time as possible. I was supposed to go too and ride back w/SIL but she backed out last minute. Guess I will meet him some other time.
Anyhoo... here is a pic of my pie! If anyone wants the recipe just ask!

Looks delish. That lattice work would be a major fail for me.
