How did you end up w/ roosters if hatchery only sends pullets ? I am probably forgetting something again.

did straight run on the silver laced and the barred rocks. AND ended up with one lorp roo last year out of 25 and there is one in this years batch. They got the hamps all correct this year. I also have 4 deleware roos still running around.

I dont think they like or dislike. They are just programmed to accept it.

NOT some of my girls they chase the roos around the yard, All of the brahams are going as they are at least 4 years old.

Your gonna have a ton of meat in your freezer hu ? And if you do cull a yak you will need to use a couple deep freezers !

they are going on 3 and I really don't want/need the roos. The 2 barred rocks and 2 silver lace are enough roos for this up coming year. The old roos are going into the lard kettle when we are done plucking the "good" birds to be cooked up/down for the living in gen pop. and all the rest of the bits and pieces and all the expired food Robert has been hoarding. Basically cooked chicken and slop

Nope and all I want are some stewing hens. The rest got to Rod and Robert. I keep ALL hearts and gizzards.

Still need to clean my "meat" freezer here in town and there is an empty one in the garage out at the farm.

plus both rod and Robert have chest freezers.
