They may nibble on the algae but not really a main diet. And I don’t have any algae in my tanks. They do need protein and lots of calcium.

There are lots of recipes for them. I just tweaked and made it simple. Because I don’t need a fancy expensive recipe.

They remain solid because of the gelatin. Water seems to be pretty clear. It’s been in there about 8-9hrs. It did get a bit messy once they started eating but not too bad. There is still a pretty large chunk.

they don’t have long lives either. 2 years if you’re lucky. And by the time they are a good size half their life is over. They need a ph of around 8 also. I had to do a lot of research.

Ya, I just bought a few and floated them into my tank. I had algae . Fish store said thats what they eat. They slowly died in a matter of a few months.

I thought it was pretty cool. Although most of my pretty cool things are considered weird lol
I have found a ton out. They have some cool colors. I thought they just came in black and yellow but there are purple snails granny!
