Anyone else not a baby person?

My friend had her baby today, they kept trying to make me hold her. I used all my good excuses: dirty hands, sniffles, not taking from gma, etc. They handed me hand sanitizer. They REALLY wanted me to hold the baby. I finally had to just admit that I’m not a baby person. Yes, I had two babies. Yes, I adored my babies. But I’m not really a baby person. Or a kid person. I don’t mind kids coming up to me and I’ll read or tie shoes or make juice cups, whatever. But I don’t initiate contact.

I love holding babies, but i know some folks don't feel comfortable. Why force the issue?

Same! I always tell people that liking kids isn’t necessary to work with kids. They never believe me.

They don’t understand. I mean I don’t like kids, and I don’t want any but that doesn’t mean I can’t work with them. I just don’t want them hanging off me.

is your bator big enough for a egg carton to sit in? Of so just use that.

I have heard good things about that turner. The eggs with wonky or detached air cells should be upright. like Camping said to see if they "fix" themselves . Regular eggs, use away

Just the shipped eggs. Regular eggs should be fine. You can buy fertile eating eggs for a test hatch, if you’re concerned. Sally used her palms to roll eggs around in the coolers, so that’s about the same?

Pretty much always true when a book is made into a movie. I remember seeing Bourne Identity in 1988 on a plane to France. If I hadn't read the book I would have been lost.

Dont put them in the bator right away. Wait a day then when you do put them in dont turn at all for another 2 days then just gentle tilts side to side. You can keep the turner in just dont turn it on. Keep the detached eggs in an egg carton and your "turning" will be propping the incubator or the egg carton first one end then the other.

If they didn’t leave anything out it would be much better. And probably hours longer. I like to watch movies before I read the books because I’ve noticed that if I read the book first I’m disappointed. I compare the whole time.

Old as in the last 10-15 years lol I messed both knees up as a teen and never got them looked at. Broke my wrist when I was 10. And who knows what else as I always have scrapes and bruises from something.

I need a solution myself. Huge rip in my couch cushion. Its from dogs running through the house and landing there. I dont have the right needle or thread. I think a sheet or blanket wont last w/ them jumping up on it. I would trash it if I could . Fuzz flying through the house .
