That was just blood under the membrane. It is still edible.
This usually happens when the gall bladder, attached to the liver, sometimes breaks when it is removed, and some of the liquid runs on the liver and makes it green. Any greenish part of the liver should be removed, because it will be very bitter. The liquid inside (the bile) is extremely bitter.
 
No plans tomorrow, so I can go back to bed if I need to, after I take the kids to school. Maybe I just need rest.
Please do, I know you have a lot on your plate. If you get sick it's bad! Take a vitamin and rest!

Ugh! Never thought of that! I just thought it was like a blood blister. Have eaten lot of green spots on livers and didnt notice a bitter taste.:sick
