Alright, now don’t get suspicious. These are unrelated circumstances.

So I’ve been chatting with the head of the rescue group, the one who kept trying to organize Hank’s transport. Her mother lives nearby camp and had Great Pyrenees for a long time, but they passed recently, probably old age. There was one out there recently that was acting like a pup, so I assumed they picked up a new one.

In talking with the lady today, she offered me the Great Pyrenees. We were talking about my farm, and she said the pup is bored to death living in a pen. She said she couldn’t believe she hadn’t thought about it sooner, then asked if I needed coyote control. BOY DO I.

So I told her I would have to look into the logistics of it, for housing him maybe near the pond where the ducks are. I’ve heard they’re not great with strangers, so we’d either have to pen him during the day and let him roam at night during the summer, which is feasible, or just not have him. I don’t know how “trainable” they actually are.

I know Kelly is getting pups, but I need to specifically learn about the Great Pyrenees.
