I'm not a doctor! I think it would be a good idea to test his glucose like 4 times a day and keep a diary. Also chart what and when he eats. Eating at the same times every day would be a good thing. Cut out the sugar and the carbs. Tell him this is going to be for a week to see if his levels come down. And yes let the doctor figure out a plan.
