adorable ! and yes, when the feathers first start. Think of how a hen needs good even heat to incubate eggs so her feathers will be all the same length across her wing. A roo doesnt need that and his wing feathers will be uneven.
I cant see those without spreading them out.So I was correct with the male on the left and the female on the right? The guy that taught me would say rounded wings Hen elongated wings Roo.

I think the left is male and right is female, but I am not sure if I remember what I was taught years ago and correct and the person that taught me sadly passed away.
