Granny's gone and done it again

Anyone know anything about the linden tree? The dried flowers are suppose to be a good anti inflammatory.

We had one near our driveway in NY. I knew the name of it, but i don't recall flowers on it.

I never had one.There are 30 different sub species . The bloom is fragrant but it attracts lots of bugs and drips its "honey" making a sticky mess. Ever hear of basswood ?

I have heard of basswood, but idk what the trees look like.
