Granny's gone and done it again

are you ok Bruce ?
OK enough I guess. Should improve as days go by. ER PA said the MRI showed some "wedging" in my neck I think on the left side. Not sure what that means or even if it could be related to the accident or is a pre-existing condition. I'm supposed to call the osteopath department tomorrow so they can check that out.

Did he get a new battery for it?

Poor little thing just wants to do what its friend does!

definitely on the small end of your average MCC.

Road was clear, she started crossing the centerline on the bridge over the river just south of the center of town, 30 MPH area. I hit the horn hard and the car didn't change direction at all. From the state trooper's report (he found us in the ER) she is 72 years old. MAYBE she had a 'medical incident'?? The trooper told me she didn't remember what happened. We both had MRIs and the trooper told me she was getting transferred to the bigger hospital down in Burlington. I filed a report with her insurance company, have to wait until Monday for the adjuster to call back.

Don't know that my car isn't going to be totalled, I never saw the front but they had to crank pretty hard on the door so I could get out and there was a lot of debris on the road. My guess is it is more damage than what DD2 did to her car last month and the repairs on her's were $4,400; car would have been totalled at $3,800 if we had collision on it.

Mine is 3 years newer but that isn't saying a lot, it is an '09 so not worth a lot more. My car was towed to the same auto body shop where I had JUST dropped DD2 off to pick up her car 10 minutes before I got hit. Made the mistake of telling the guy "Thanks, hope I never have to see you professionally again". Though the first time was to get the rusting rocker panels on DWs '06 replaced, not related to an accident.

So .... in the last 6 months or so, DD1 was rear ended in a line of cars stopped at a red light. Car this -><- close to being totalled. Her's is a '10 given to her by DW's parents when they bought a new '18 last January. DD2 crossed a center line making a turn in bad weather last month and now my car. We are apparently magnets for accidents. I've never hit anyone in 46 years of driving but this is the 4th time I've been hit. First 2 I was stopped with my foot on the brake, not serious damage, 3rd one was 2012 when I was rear ended doing 35-40 MPH up an interstate onramp, car totalled at 8 years with 130K miles. Of all the times we as a family have been in accidents (DW has been rear ended, near totalled, twice, DD2's was the only one where 'we' were at fault), this is the first time medical treatment was needed.

Yep, I try not to double post:

We don't card! And I think our youngest resident is 25.

:( I guess you decided to not be curious enough to check her crop?
No, it’s been a bad week and I just tossed her in the burn pit. I couldn’t stomach cutting her open.

Not liking this either. Sounds like what they described in my MRI. Wonder if it is associated with osteopenia?

View attachment 1683148 Sorry. Got distracted. I spent too much money on chickens oops. I don’t know what possessed me to spend over twenty bucks on a single chick. Just watch that’s going to be the first to get hawked.

Ninja edit. Yes. We got a new battery for the truck last week. My car still remains battery-less and hubs is telling me it’s pinging under load so...sigh. I may fiddle around under the hood see what it needs - but it may be above my skill level especially solo. Worse case scenario I tell him I drive his butt to work on the Sunday when he’s back and we leave my turdwagon here for me to play with. But. It seems like all our vehicles need something - suspension on my flex needs love, truck needs love, my turdwagon obviously needs lots of love, and his toy truck needs a trans. Off-roadvo could go with some love too.
I was wondering how much to charge for Cream Legbar chicks!
