The Old Folks Home

I will try to take some today! I am totally a chick addict!:gig

Me too which is why I have so many roosters to deal with.

I have one that I keep saying is going to be my first venture into butchering as he keeps beating up the smaller roosters. He's just brutal with them. No peck on the head to put them in their place, he rips their faces up and tears out their feathers. So he's pretty well written his own death warrant.

As for plans, I'm finishing up a small wallpapering project in the kitchen. I needed something water and grease proof to put up under my cupboards as a backsplash and found this on Amazon.

It looks weird on the roll but when you put it up it becomes 3D. Neat thing is that it peels and sticks until you pull it off and is a thin film like plastic. Not contact paper. Hate that stuff. But this doesn't stretch or wrinkle like contact. So far we love it. My neck hates doing the hanging but then, that is what muscle relaxers were made for!

I saw that, @sharron when I was trolling for ideas. Even considered it until I realized that it was textured and since we heat with wood I'd be forever dealing with 'dust' in all the nooks and crannies. That's when I decided to go with a water and oil resistant covering that I could just wipe down whenever the need arose.

Just got the last sheet up. Now clean up happens. Ick.

Micro! How are you today? I am up to 8 chicks now. Plus i got silkies and bantam cochin chicks. I figure half will be roosters to get rid of. You know, chicken math. And bantams are too small to count as a whole chicken!:lau
I am meeting someone today to sell a pair of Speckled Sussex.
Too rainy to plan much outside, but i hope to spend some time cleaning my bedroom. :hmm
I miss hatching! And, those Speckled Sussex are nice birds. Pretty. Well, I have gotten really sick with this flu. I haven't had a cold for over a year and a half. Guess I can't complain. Wait, yes I can. It's trying to turn into that non stop cough. I really struggle with that. Hope it doesn't get to the point where I'm coughing so hard I feel like I'm going to bust a rib. Serious, it gets that bad. Hey Perchie! Great news!!!!
