I do not have luck with tsc chickens. I have decreed no more tsc chickens for me.

That right, some of the best skills my husband has is hunting and know how to prepare to eat what you kill. We will be ready. Wonder if we should start breeding those giant chickens.

I have Jersey Giants. Not interested in the Brahmas now that I had some and was not impressed with what I got. JGs are nice and big birds

I wonder how they compare to my heritage jubilee orphs.? Takes them about 18 months but they get huge .

I don’t lol those birds don’t grow out of the ugly faze. I was looking for Cochins.

JGs take about a yr to get to the point of evaluation. My roos are usually 12 to 14 lbs and I had a few closer to 16 over the years. Usually, 13 is the top weight for males. females are about 10 to 12 lbs.

Cocci is always present. It becomes a problem when the load is too much for the animal. Stress and illness can make some birds weak enough to succumb to it.
