Granny's gone and done it again

It’s 37, feels like 31, and the ducks are nowhere near the heat.

Camp, are those heat lamps? Danger! I always put mine in cages or at least make a loose knot in the cord and snap it to something solid. Too many coops burn down.

The heat one is clamped onto nails, they’d have to pull the nails out to get it down. The other is not as secure, but my brand new heat bulb was a dud and I was desperate. I’ve just exchanged the bulb and I’m going to fix it right now. It was down to 26 last night and I was in a panic they’d freeze. That’s why the hens are in there.

Those clamps are not reliable. I throw them out. I will get a picture of the cage i built. Better safe than sorry.

Poor Nugget, LOL Tom let the dogs out and Nugget slipped out past him. He only does this to Tom. I got my shoes on and brought him in and I told Tom. There is a small broom right there. Dont open the door if he is close to you. If you need to swat him away w/ the broom. He said ok and I turned to go sit down . I turned back around and Tom was going to town on Nugget and Nugget was giving it back just a good. Seems broom straws are a fun thing to attack.
