Granny's gone and done it again

I would put her in a pen with her new to you and so close to being due.

I’ve got them in the back yard, because the lamancha can hop a 4ft fence. She broken through the gate on our privacy fence twice today, luckily she’s spoiled and easy to catch.

I can see almost the whole yard and the two shelters from the kitchen window. Or do you mean more like a small enclosed space? I kept Roxie in the “goat coop” when she kidded.

I used to have the barn divided into pens about 3 to 4 feet wide and 8 or more feet long. I put my pregnant goats in one each night, or if I had to leave for a day. After they kidded, I would keep them in there a day or 2 so they could bond. And each pen had a heat lamp in a safety box.

What am I checking? Because they’re so spread out? Also what does rounded mean? She’s not easy to catch so I’m trying not to stress her too much.

The lamancha is just as bratty as Beaux. :rant :love

The lamb is a girl! Bubba has been begging for one, and she was all by herself and went for $10. She was a bit weak, but after a bottle of bounce back and quite a bit of grazing she was more energetic.
I was just thinking that she looks like her hooves need clipped. Chunky comes to mind. She also looks lean to be so big and her bag looks saggy. Do you know a age?
I have a feeling all white goats are like that. Molly ran through the gate yesterday and was a terror to get back.

Yay she’s a cutie! Will she have wool? Or is she one of those one sheep?

Here are two other pictures.

The sides were really droopy, but seemed to have tightened up a bit since she’s eaten.
It just doesn’t look normal to me. Sorry to say that camping. Mine were always super full looking when pregnant.

Where did Alley go ? No one says good night anymore. @AlleysChicks we need you !
Alley konked out. Did that on mother’s day too! One minute I was awake and the next I was waking up! I think it’s all the stress and lack of sleep.

Well I did cull that Polish today with the bad tendon. Hubby was impressed I did it myself.
Sad you had to do that, but glad you were able to! I don’t like culling unless it’s necessary. I don’t think I could do it if it wasn’t absolutely necessary.

I had one that got so bad she looked totally blind, but she recovered well with the Terramycin eventually.
she just looks miserable. And how fast it got bad had me worried.

I was thinking that goat must be old to be so stretched out. Also must have triplets at least.
Yes, I was freaking out about the goat with terrible pink eye. Kept her indoors, was afraid she would run into something! Thought she would be blind for life. She recovered.

The goat coop is about twice that size.

After kidding, I gave each doe CMPK gel, and home made drench poured over ripped up bread( whole wheat), plus chopped carrot, and apple. Helped give them a boost.

Molasses?

Bubba also mentioned a spot on her leg. When I move her to the goat coop I’ll check her over. I’ve seen a few on the fb page that look like that. Maybe she wasn’t getting enough to eat? Roxie was very small the whole time she was pregnant. The feed store said to give her meat goat pellets? Is there a better feed source? I’m trying to find good hay.
