Just a pleasant dream. Only digging deep enough to plant flowers and veggies.Thought you were in China? Been doing any digging around your place? Maybe you dug too deep.
h2o, my cats are indoor only. We built an outhouse for the little box on the other side of the cat flap. They go through to get to the litter box, but they can't run free, they are limited to the outhouse. We have bobcats and mtn lions here that eat cats, and I don't want them bringing ticks and fleas in the house, so they are inside only cats. Henry thinks he's a big fierce lion, so tries to get out, but then he's all scared, so easy to get him back in.We don’t have an extra bathroom. Only one and my house is very small. You couldn’t let these cats outside.
So sorry. And now he’s no longer with us.Bubba was sad and asked what killed it. I said I guess it was just too sick. Honestly I have no idea.
Bubba asked if we could just get him one that was not sick next time.
Hubs and I went to a lecture at the grange hall last night... Living with Lions. Very interesting, this guy from South Africa, big cat specialist, has started a program to track the mtn lions in and around our county. He traps and collars them and gets satellite data showing where roam. Last year, they came knocking on our neighbor's door to tell him one lion was in his backyard earlier at 3am. The goal of the project is conservation. So many people in this county now, these lion travel through thousands of different properties in a month. Fish and Game laws allow a kill permit if a lion kills livestock. Sadly, most here are hobby farms, so someone with 3 pet goats, who can easily shut them in at night, can legally kill a lion that kills one goat because the owner didn't bother to protect them. And because of the way lions set up their territories, killing one and opening up the territory actually increases predation because 2 or 3 lions will come to fill the void. Over 80% of their diet is deer anyway. Less than 10% is from livestock. People moving out to the country and messing with nature makes things worse. They need to protect their pets at night and not kill the lions.Hubby saw one with a baby in the driveway! Luckily they avoid people, but who knows what is out there at night?
Holy mullet! Makes you wonder what is lurking under the water chasing those fishies.I have to add this to my bucket list. Just one throw .
